The Parish Church of St Mary | |
St Mary's Ketton is recognised to be a fine building, with its towering spire a landmark visible from across much of the surrounding countryside. There has been a church on this site for over a thousand years, and some of the existing structure dates from the late Norman period. Our church is kept in good condition thanks to the churchwardens, and with financial support not only from the congregation but also from the village at large. We take great pride in knowing that the whole community values the existence of the building as an integral part of local life, whether they attend church or not. For those interested, an illustrated guide book to the church was published at the end of 2013 and is available from the church, price £3.00 There is also a recently published history, written by a local historian, the late Geoffrey Fox. | ![]() |
