Funerals

Anyone who dies in the parish is entitled to a funeral in the parish church. In the nature of things, arrangements have to be made at short notice, and this can be done either directly with the parish priest, or by requesting the funeral director to contact him/her.

The churchyard at St Mary's is closed for burials, so interments take place in theKetton Cemetery on Empingham Road or at the Ketton Green Burial site in Luffenham Road. Services of Cremation from Ketton generally take place at Peterborough Crematorium.

The clergy are always available to provide pastoral care for the bereaved.
