Confirmation

Confirmation marks the point in the Christian journey at which you decide to affirm, for yourself, the faith into which you have been baptized – and your intention to declare yourself publicly a Christian. This is a genuine commitment of your life as a follower of Jesus. Before confirmation, candidates will take part in classes in which confirmation is explained and discussed.

Services of Confirmation are conducted by one of the bishops of the diocese and, depending on the number of candidates, may be held in your own parish church, in another nearby church or, sometimes, in Peterborough Cathedral.
