Queen Elizabeth II The death of our Queen marks the end of a remarkable era in our national history, notable for her devotion to duty for the whole of her life. For the majority of the population, Queen Elizabeth II has been monarch for the whole of their lives. Gratitude is due for her example of Christian service, and our sympathy, prayers and good wishes are due to the members of the Royal Family, particularly to our new King Charles III whose reign begins in these most turbulent times. As a mark of respect, together with churches across the nation, the church bells at St Marys were rung at noon on Friday, 10th September, to mark the Queen's passing. The church is open for prayer Everyone is welcome to come into the church to pray at this time. There is a special place where you can light a candle in memory of Queen Elizabeth II and prayers are provided for you to use.
