COVID: A message from our Priest in charge:

As a response to the announcement of the lockdown on Monday by the prime minister, the churchwardens and myself have agreed that we should not hold services in St Mary's church at the moment. This has been a difficult decision to come to and I have consulted local clergy as well as people in the parish. The infection rates have been increasing steadily in the local area and we are concerned about the safety of meeting together to worship even with COVID safe procedures in place. Many local parishes have made the same decision.

I am so sorry we are shut yet again and we will keep the situation under review. We will also be shutting All Saints, Tinwell on the same basis.

Meanwhile I will continue to record services for the whole benefice using a variety of liturgy and music - I will seek to make them interesting and engaging and I hope in the weeks ahead we can find ways to get people from both churches involved in those on - line services.

The service this week will be available from Sunday morning on

May the Lord bless you and keep you safe as we enter into this New Year.

We shall continue to update this web page as the COVID-19 situation develops, so please be patient, and keep checking for any new information.
